About the Position
The Advancement Assistant will directly support the Advancement Team and provide necessary assistance through administrative assistant duties. This position is remote, part time, and can be done on your own schedule. Job duties include writing thank you notes and performing calls to medium tier donors, performing keep-in-touch calls to those donors, database cleanup, supporting funding efforts for events and special initiatives, and assisting donors with issues such as credit card declines or answering basic donation questions.   The Advancement Assistant is expected to attend a monthly lunch for training, updating, and culture-building with the Advancement Team. They are also expected to adhere to the Mel Trotter Ministries code of conduct and values statement.




We will trust you with (Job Responsibilities)


*Write Thank You notes/perform Thank you calls for medium tier donors

*Perform Keep In Touch (KIT) contact calls for medium tier donors

*Support Gift Advisor’s in KIT calling during bulk seasons (May and September)

*Year-end Thank you calls and write Year-end Thank you notes

*Provide database clean up using White Pages and Been Verified

*Assist with minor donor issues including: credit card declines, incorrect credit card information, and basic donation questions. 

*Support funding efforts for events and special initiatives through invites and event follow ups

*Set tours and meetings through conversations with donors

*Follow up on donor information generated by Gifts Advisors, i.e. get well cards, prayer cards, birthday cards, etc. 







*Prefer minimum 3 years of Administrative Assistant experience

*Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

*Skilled at producing reports, maintaining multiple schedules

*Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including grammar and business writing

*Basic knowledge of database management and use

*Able to work remotely

*Understand, speak, read, and write fluent English

*Comfortable on the phone with donors and able to follow prescribed calling tracks

*Minimum of 10hrs/week of offsite work, on your own schedule
